Klarenbeek Estate

Klarenbeek Estate is a site of industrial heritage and has been in the family for eight generations. The driving force behind Klarenbeek Estate is the Krepel family, who set up a copper rolling mill in 1732. In 1870, the coppersmith’s workshop was converted into a cigar box factory, and in 1950 a door factory was added. Today, doors are still produced on the estate and furniture restoration takes place there. Klarenbeek Estate is the place ‘where art and craftsmanship converge’.

Craftsmanship has always played an important role on the estate. In fact, that’s how the estate came into being! In the factory buildings, which are listed as national monuments, many elements of the old sawmill belonging to the cigar box factory are still visible, creating a particularly pleasant atmosphere. These buildings, known as Galerie Bij Krepel, are now filled with art, old photographs and the original machinery. The waterfall, with a drop of 3.5 metres which was used to generate power, is also still there.

The love for craftsmanship is also palpable in the furniture restoration workshop and the professional kitchen. All this makes Landgoed Klarenbeek an inspiring venue for corporate events, weddings, parties, workshops and outdoor recreation. It is also the place where you can have your valuable interior pieces restored, admire beautiful works of art at the exhibitions, and dine at the annual pop-up restaurant in the old sawmill of the cigar box factory. All events can be found at www.landgoedklarenbeek.nl.
A beautifully restored estate, where historical details and an entrepreneurial spirit set the tone.

In the former cigar box factory (a listed building), alongside a wedding and conference venue, a beautiful B&B has been created featuring 1 suite and 2 double rooms, as well as a spacious lounge with a seating area and its own kitchen. The B&B is situated on an estate with plenty of walking and cycling routes. Guests can also make use of the terrace.
