Taken from real life: the tHuisBent 5.0 with ‘Grijsland’

  • Where:
    Driel

  • When:
    until 11 October

‘Grijsland’ is a theatre concert featuring songs written and performed by tHuisBent 5.0 from Megen. Six musicians who know that land all too well from their own experience. The land of cycle junction points and of coffee with an apple turnover on the terrace. The land where you can do anything and don’t have to do anything, but also the land of creaking knees and countless other aches and pains.
tHuisBent 5.0, joined for this occasion by the vocals of Yarah Quint, takes you to that fictional land where everyone who isn’t there yet is on their way. Grijsland is a show featuring songs and stories, with plenty of humour, but also songs that leave you momentarily silent when they touch on violence in the world or a mind that can no longer make sense of it all.

tHuisBent 5.0, joined for this occasion by the vocals of Yarah Quint, takes you to that fictional land where everyone who isn’t there yet is on their way. Grijsland is a performance featuring songs and stories, with the requisite humour, but also with songs that leave you momentarily silent when they touch on violence in the world or a mind that can no longer tie the threads together.
At times moving, at others laced with (plenty of) self-deprecating humour. Informative for those still on their way, recognisable for others who have already arrived. Grijsland. ‘Where the paths wind, the avenues stretch, the trees bend and the songs point the way, there lies Grijsland.’
‘tHuisBent 5.0’ is your guide, on Sunday 11 October at the Catholic church in Driel (Kerkstraat 25).

The concert starts at 2.30 pm.

Admission to this Blije Kerk concert is free, as is the coffee and tea during the interval.

Donations at the door; contributions can also be made via QR code.
